Sophie - Manager and Animal Care Specialist
My name is Sophie!
I have over 10 years of animal experience! I worked at a veterinary clinic for over 8 years and take pride in my knowledge and expertise. Here at K9CC I strive to treat everyone's pets as I would my own.
I currently have an Australian Shepherd (Zeke), a heeler mix (Nelly), and 3 cats (Oakley, Socket, Phoenix), guinea pigs, a koi pond.
In my down time I love to go hiking, camping, kayaking, and of course spending lots of time with my fiancé and my pets.
Bella - Animal Care Specialist and Trainer
My name is Bella!
I have dog sat, volunteered at shelters, and fostered cats for 6 years on and off. I have a passion for anything dog-related and have hopes of becoming a dog trainer myself one day.
I have 3 cats named Kahlua, Tito, and Azula, and love them like children. After a lot of training, my youngest, Azula, loves going on hikes with us, doing training sessions in the park, and long car rides with the window down.
In my free time, I like to listen to K-pop, read fantasy, hike or kayak with my partner, or take my cats on adventures! I am a huge animal advocate; from slimy to scaly to fluffy, it doesn't matter to me. I strive to be patient, always keep learning, and passionately care for your pup while you're away!
Melissa - Professional Groomer
My name is Melissa!
I've worked with animals and especially dogs for my entire life. I came from a pet-forward family, and we had always had some arrangement of dogs, cats, birds, and other small critters. Around age 10 I started my dog work journey when I joined the Kalamazoo 4H dog club. I was a member for several years before becoming a teacher/mentor for the younger members and their dogs. Around the same time, I also started showing in UKC in several different avenues, but mainly specialized in agility, at one point becoming the top junior handler of the year in Michigan.
Currently, I have a border collie named Athena who is the absolute love of my life and three cats, Pizza Roll, Kuma, and Rider. I could never imagine a life without my fur children, and one day I hope to expand the fur family!
Becca - Animal Care Specialist
Hello, my name is Becca!
I own a beagle named KC, a horse named Flynn, two cats named Fuzzy and Roxy and a couple of chickens! They keep me on my toes, and there’s never a dull moment.
In my free time I love to go to horse shows with Flynn. Do anything outside: hiking, kayaking, swimming, taking the dog for a walk or riding my horse. I also love finding new adventures.
My main goal is to be an advocate for your furry friends and to be their voice when they don’t have one!
